Hello fellow Fellows - especially those currently in the throes of the Summer Institute.
I'm still hard at work in my master's degree program focusing on WNYWP...and have come across something called Google LitTrips. Has anyone out there used it/created a lit trip with your class? I'd love to hear about it for my research. Send me an email at ckrajna1@gmail.com
If you don't know what it's all about, go to

(You must have GoogleEarth on your computer, which is free.)

Oh snap? I just checked out the Lit trip on Cormac McCarthy's The Road. Interesting stuff. I did something similar with Skitch and Google Earth, but not down to the city level, nor did I create a layer for Google Earth. Just sort of took a picture and painted it.
What a way cool idea to show kids the travels of characters/action. Very neat. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice -- thanks for pointing this out. I could see a 'writing side' too that might follow the travels of a writer as he/she wrote something or put it together, particularly in the non-fiction realm.
